Artemis’ Embrace

2023-2024

With this new project, Kinesis Dance somatheatro wants to celebrate the strength, the courage and the determination it takes to embrace our unique identities, including the femininity we all have inside us. While utilizing the power of movement as a path towards releasing generational, cultural and societal programming, this project aims at creating a choreography that will ultimately be revisited including community dancers, and publicly performed.

Have you always wanted to be part of a dance flash mob?

Join us with North Vancouver Recreation & Culture at free community workshops open to all ages and abilities.
Artemis’ Embrace is an immersive creative dance workshop series and performance project, igniting creative exploration through guided dance improvisation, choreography, and community collaboration under the guidance of experienced dance artists.
The dance workshops culminate in a live flash mob performance in North Vancouver. This free experience includes workshop times, a dress rehearsal and the performance.
Please note that to participate in the Flash Mob performance, a commitment to the workshops and dress rehearsal is required. All bodies and abilities are welcome!
