Celebration

2019
Athens & Epidaurus Festival
Athens, Greece

In June 2019, Paras was invited by the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, to create a large-scale site-specific work at the Dimotiko (Municipal) Theatre of Piraeus (built in 1895), as part of the ‘Humanities Project’. The piece Celebration was presented on June 25th, 2019, and performed by local professional and community dancers, and Vancouver based dancer Renée Sigouin. The piece began on the steps of the theatre, and then promenaded through the building, finishing on the world famous main stage.
